Looking Forward
The conference started out great, but it was during the second and final day that things really came together for me. All three sessions I attended focused on cross-cultural communication styles and strategies and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them. The sessions and speakers were all very interesting, informative and provided a good deal of interaction. As a graduate student just getting started in the field of cross-cultural communication, I found it incredibly inspiring to get to know and work with other students and professionals who share the same passion and goals but work in diverse capacities in both the public and the private sector, often in business, academia or the government. I am now even more confident than ever that I am in the right field. As a first-time participant, I felt very welcomed and I look forward to next year’s conference. Many thanks to the Education and Development Fund and all those who made it possible for me to attend this conference.
